The Catamaran

About Tahina

Ocean Adventure Cat’s crew sails aboard Tahina, a beautifully refit 50′ St. Francis catamaran designed for long-range cruising—and perfectly suited for exploring the shallow, sapphire waters of the Exumas in comfort and style. She accommodates up to six guests in three queen-size ensuite staterooms.

Each cabin features cherry finishes, teak and holly floors, cool gel mattresses, and plenty of storage for your gear. Fans and A/C keep things breezy, whether you're winding down after a sun-soaked day or curling up with a book before bed.

With a “galley down” layout, the main salon is all about space to stretch out, relax, or gather with a drink in hand. Out back, her roomy cockpit is the heart of the boat—made for barefoot meals, quiet mornings, and sunset conversations.

But don’t let the comfort fool you—Tahina is a true bluewater boat. Built to cross oceans, she’s logged more 200-mile days than we can count. With a high bridge deck, a well-balanced sail plan, and shallow draft, she moves fast and easy, often cruising between 7 and 15 knots depending on the wind and point of sail.

She’s that rare mix of performance and grace—just as at home slipping into a quiet anchorage as she is eating up miles on a broad reach.
